Business Development Officer

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for developing new (or expanding existing) depository, loan, treasury and merchant service relationships.  This position provides exceptional customer service by taking ownership of the customer experience from introducing the customer to County National Bank (“CNB”) through profiling the customer, assessing their banking and borrowing needs, and recommending appropriate products based on a thorough knowledge of CNB products and services.  Represents the Bank and builds relationships within the communities served by our branch offices.

Initially, this position will focus on Lenawee County; with potential future growth throughout our market area.

Skill Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Finance is preferred; otherwise, must have a combination of applicable education and experience.
  • Must have previous bank management/sales experience; prior business development experience in banking is preferred.
  • Passion for providing a stellar customer service experience to all customers (external and internal) and ability to instill this passion in others.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, present banking solutions and bank products; recognize closing opportunities; and retain and grown customer relationships.

Marketing Specialist - Hillsdale

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day marketing functions for the Bank while considering strategy, regulatory compliance and budgets and contributes to the development and execution of promotions and bank events.

Private Banking Officer - Jackson

Job Summary

This position has extensive interaction with high-net-worth bank customers and prospects requiring tact and persuasiveness in presenting the bank’s position. Regular interaction with bank customers and prospects in social settings requiring sophistication to represent the bank positively within the communities we serve.  This position is responsible for the growth and business development of account relationships with professionals and their businesses including but not limited to medical, dental, law, accounting and construction, as well as persons with significant wealth.  This individual will actively refer clients to County National Bank Trust Department. The Officer will have routine interaction with the Commercial and Retail Banking staff, Credit, Compliance and others as needed.

Compliance Officer - Hillsdale

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the bank’s compliance efforts.  This includes the authority to delegate responsibilities to Compliance Committee members, and devote sufficient bank time and resources necessary to maintain compliance with laws and regulations. Also responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC, including all functions required by these regulations.

Skill Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance is preferred; otherwise, must have a combination of applicable education and experience.
  • Possess (or ability to obtain) and maintain Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation. 
  • Possess diverse working knowledge of bank related laws (federal and state) and regulations.
  • Fully knowledgeable of the Bank Secrecy Act and all related regulations. 
  • Understand the bank’s products, services, customers, and geographic locations, and the potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks associated with those activities.

Part-time Teller - Litchfield

Job Summary

This position provides outstanding customer service while performing a variety of customer savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as customer services for cashier’s checks, money orders, etc.  May assist supervisor with various branch procedures, including opening and closing deposit accounts, ATM balancing, and Vault balancing, etc.  This is a part-time position working on average less than 30 hours per week scheduled Monday – Saturday.
